X>o you own
a piano?
If so, this
\t advertisement/
will interest
you.
It describes tho
ANGELIS ORCHESTRAL.
( Played like the Symphony.)
Anew and wonderful invention that instantly converts any piano
into a self-playing instrument. In every house where there is a
piano the ANGELUS ORCHESTRAL, is needed. It is
WITH PIANO
The Master-key that unlocks
the gates of Melody for all!
No musical talent on the part of the
performer is required. A child thr.t
has never before seen a piano can, with
tho aid of the ANGELUS ORCHES-
TUAL, render the most difficult com-
positions in a manner possible to only
the most accomplished and practised
of pianists. Contains (in addition to
the piano-playing mechanism) two full
sets of organ reeds, which may be
played separately or in company with
the piano.
Instantly applied to any piano —
grand, upright or square — end as
easily removed. No technical knowl-
edge required; the performer has
merely to work the pedals and operate
the stops that control the time and ex-
pression and thereby render tho most
difficult pieces in a truly masterly
way. Does not scratch or injure tho
piano in the least.
Made in all varieties of polished
woods to match any piano.
The above is a very brief and incomplete account of the
ANGELUS ORCHESTRAL. Send your name and address on a
postal card and we will gladly mail photos and full description.
Whether you intend to purchase or not, you will be interested
in learning more about this musical marvel of the century.

Piano and Organ Leathers.
There is no surer test of the excellence
and reliability of the wares of any firm
than when manufacturers continue to use
them without change for a long' period of
years. This is the record made by the
White, Son Co. of 151 Summers street,
Boston, whose speciality is manufacturing
and dealing in piano and organ leathers.
They have paid especial attention to this
particular branch of supplies, and so suc-
cessfully, that the manufacturers using
them have never seen fit to make a change,
because they consider there is nothing bet-
ter produced. In piano and organ mak-
ing as well as in concomitant branches
leather is an important essential. Manu-
facturers desirous of purchasing the best
would do well to make a note to look up
the White, Son Co. They will find their
orders attended to with alacrity and can
depend with decided assurance upon the
high quality of their manufactures.
Henry N. Hempsted, at one time promi-
nent in Milwaukee business and musical
circles, died Saturday at his home in Kas-
son, Minn., after an illness of several years.
Mr. Hempsted was for years one of the
most prominent and successful music
dealers and publishers in the Northwest.
His business grew to be very extensive,
but finally failed.
Wm. P. Hastings, the veteran piano
and organ dealer of Portland, Me., died
last week at his home in that city. He
was a native of Worcester, Mass., and was
in business in Portland for almost fifty
years.
J. M. Hoffman & Co. of Pittsburg, who
represent the Sohmer piano in that city,
are carrying some very clever and digni-
fied announcements bearing on the merits
of the Sohmer instruments in the local
papers.
Wm. Gorgen, formerly of Gorgen &
Grubb, will, it is said, engage in business
on his own account in Castletown, near
Albany, next May.
