much gratified with the commendation re-
ceived in letters from agents.

gave us so much satisfaction and pleased
our customers so well as the Columbia
zither," writes one firm. "You are cer-
tainly making a splendid instrument, and
your terms are so fair that we find it to our
advantage to do business with you."
Another, referring to the merits of the
Columbia has this to say: "You cannot
praise your own instruments too highly.
They are splendid indorscrs of your work
and are away beyond the usual standard."
Mr. Pierce, with such indorsements, has
good right to be enthusiastic over the Col-
umbia's future.
Lyon & Healy's Graphophone
Catalogue.
Recognizing the fact that Graphophones
at their present prices are among the most
salable specialties in the music trade line
on the market, Lyon & Healy, who recent-
ly became western Graphophone represen-
tatives, have just issued a very complete
catalogue devoted to these "talking ma-
chines." The catalogue is very interest-
ing and very complete. In the introduc-
tory they make the following claims which
should appeal to wide-awake dealers:
"For several years we have noted an ever
increasing public interest in the Grapho-
phone. This has been brought about on
the one hand by reason of the many de-
lightful features necessarily inherent in a
sound reproducing machine, and on the
other hand by the great improvements in
the machines themselves.
"The Graphophones which we now offer
to the musical world do not need the charm
of absolute noveltv to command attention.
They have outgrown the expensive exper-
imental stage incidental to novelties, and
to-day challenge admiration as perfect
mechanical productions offered at a won-
derfully reasonable price.
"We shall hope to merit patronage in
our Graphophone department by reason of
the fact that our stock is complete in every
particular. It embraces all the various
styles of instruments, and accessories, and
thousands of the choicest records. As is
our custom in other branches of our busi-
ness, we quote at once the lowest market
prices on these goods. We shall esteem it
a favor to receive your early orders."
