An unselfish companion that caters to your every mood untiringly.
It is never out of tune, and being simple and strong in construaion, is
aot apt to be troublesome. The music is obtained from highly tem-
pered steel combs, and each melody is stamped on metal tune discs,
which are practically indestructible. Our arrangements of music are
as near perlection as the greatest skill and unlimited experience can
make them in mechanical instruments.

An Important Pleasure.
An important act pertaining to prefer-
ences and assignments was passed at the
recent session of the Ohio legislature.
This measure establishes an interesting
point in the matter of liquidations. The
law provides that preferences given ninety
days prior to an assignment shall not be
valid. This applies to chattel mortgages,
bills of sale, judgment, etc., and under the
law all creditors will share equally in the
assets. The main object of the bill, which
was passed through the agitation of the
Cincinnati Credit Men's Association, is to
prevent fradulent practices in assignment.
The measure is certainly an excellent one,
of importance to business men, and is
likely to be enacted in other States.
