The Hotel Grunewald.
The grand dining hall of the Hotel
Grunewald, in New Orleans, La., which
was opened recently is considered to
be the finest in America. To accomplish
this required a lavish expenditure of money
and rare exhibition of good taste. Seven
great tapestry paintings by celebrated
masters adorn the decorated walls, which
are set off in mahogany wainscoting, while
the ceilings are in green and gold with
unique electric lighting effects. The hall
truly presents a wealth of artistic decora-
tion. The Times-Democrat in a recent
issue speaks enthusiastically of " the most
beautiful, rare, and costly interior decora-
tions" of this salle a manger.
