THE MUSIC TRADE REVIEW
IO
Chickering Secures Seidl.
The afternoon musicales at Chickering
Hall have become one of the musical at-
tractions of the Metropolis. The enter-
tainments are always attended by the elite
of New York as Chickering & Sons en-
gage the best musical talent. Their latest
move, however, is an innovation. They
have engaged Anton Seidl with his grand
orchestra to give a series of six concerts
beginning next fall. The first concert
will be given on Nov. 9th. During the
entire series the great leader will be accom-
panied by his full orchestra of fifty pieces.
It has not as yet been announced who will
preside at the piano. It will, however, be
some distinguished pianist: just who, is
one of the surprises which the distinguish-
ed house of Chickering & Sons hold in
store.
\ May Be Set Up in Methuen.
[Special to The Review.]
Buston, Mass., May 17, 1897.
E. F. Searles, the millionaire who is
known to be an enthusiast on the subject
of organs, was in reality the purchaser of
the Boston Music Hall organ which was
knocked down last week at public auction
to the Methuen Organ Co., Methuen, Vt.
The only information obtainable from Mr.
Searles is that the organ will be moved at
once to Methuen and stored there until the
proper opportunity arrives for setting it up.
Eventually it will without doubt be set up in
Methuen, either in some building already
in existence or in one to be erected.

TO THE TRADE
Individuality of a Piano
It has been the individuality of the Krakauer piano which has created for it
an unique position. It has been that same individuality which established
it with the most progressive dealers of America.
It has been case individuality which has attracted the eye of customers. It
has been the individuality of the Krakauer tone which has won their ear.
It is the individuality of the Krakauer piano which separates it from the
great mass of instruments.
There is individuality in the new Krakauer catalogue. Have you seen it?
If not you will be interested and a copy can be had for the asking. Experts
have pronounced it one of the most charming brochures ever published. It
will be a valuable acquisition to your piano library. Miniature catalogue and
testimonial booklet, now on the press, will be ready shortly.
