of less value then he reprtstnted them to be in
It is admitted by all that no piano ever put upon the
his correspondence. The casj will be tried May market has met with such success as THE STERLING
15th.
A CORRESPONDENT sends us the following ex-
tract, says an English exchange, but as he does
not mention the paper in which it appeared, we
are unable to properly acknowledge it: The re-
port that the inhabitants of Instrahull are in
difficulty in consequence of the continuance of
stormy weather, reminds me of a good story I
heard when up in that part of the world three or
four years back. It was told me by an Irish
magistrate as we jogged along together on a
jaunting car. Along the Donegal coast there are
several islands inhabited by a small population,
and the one he pointed out to me as we skirted
the coast" was'about ten miles out. The owner
of the island had purchased a piano and sent a big
boat with three or four men to bring it from the
mainland. When the boat returned the expectant
family went down to the beach to meet it, but
were greatly disappointed to see no sign of the
instrument. '' Why haven't you brought the
piano? " was their Impatient inquiry. " W e
have brought it,"was the answer. "Well,
where is it ? " " We've got it In tow, " was the
answer, in broad Donegal. The instrument had
been packed in a wooden case, and as they had
some difficulty in getting it conveniently into
the boat, they had tied a rope round it, made it
fast astern, and pulled gently home with It.
and thousands will testify to their superiority of work-
manship and durability. Why ? Because they are made
just as perfect as a piano can be made.
THE STERLING ORGAN has always taken the lead, and
the improvements made this year puts it far ahead of
all others. IW Send for Catalogue.

CROWN."
'Twas a sister of that cross old woman
Who lived, so they say, in a shoe ;
She had such a host of old organs
She didn't know what she should do.
And then, to increase her affliction,
By making a bad matter worse,
By scores she had stored old pianos,
Till life was a burden and curse.
Magic skill at length came to her rescue
With indeed a strange sight to behold,
For a brand new piano and organ
Now stand in the place of the old.
So royal their style, strength and sweetness,
That each bore, engraven, a " Crown ; "
In the new were contained all the virtues
That gave to the old their renown.
MORAL:
Your're taught in this fable the reason
Why Bent's work will stand ev'ry test
They've got the best points of each rival—
That's why " Crowns " are good as the best.
