FOR CATALOGUES.
THE new catalogue which Messrs. Augustus Baus
& Co. will present to the trade in a few days will be
one of the largest and most complete ever published.
MB. CONE, Secretary of the W. W. Kimball Co.,
Chicago, 111., has been quite sick, but we understand
he is now improving.
EDWARD AMBUHL, is now with Steinway & Sons.
WE have received the new catalogue of the Smith
American Organ Co., Boston, Mass., which is com-
plete in every rsspect.
THE new style 1, upright piano, manufactured by
the Grovesteen & Fuller Piano Co., is a little beauty
and will certainly have a large run.
J. H. KURZENKNABE & SONS, Harrisburg, Pa., will
issue, early in March, a music book, entitled " Gates
Ajar." jThe book will comprise 160 pages, 117 con-
tributors, and 154 gems of song, so arranged as to be
suitable for Sunday schools, praise and prayer meet-
ings. Altogether, it seems to us as though it will be
the most complete book of its kind ever published.
Already the call for it is very large, about 10,000
copies being now engaged by the prominent sheet
music houses.
THE Albany agency for the Baus piano will be held
in the future by James H. Thomas. He has excel-
lent warerooms at 70 North Pearl Street, under the
Kenmore Hotel, Mr. Thomas is very enthusiastic in
his praise of the Baus piano, and says he will use
every effort to make it the leading piano in his
territory.
AT the annual meeting of the Mason & Hamlia
Organ and Piano Co., on January 27, the following
officers were chosen for the year 1886: For directors,
Henry Mason, Henry Bassford and John P. Richard-
son ; president and treasurer, Henry Mason; secre-
tary, Henry Basford. The treasurer's statement of
the business results for 1885 was presented at this
meeting, by which it appeared that the company has,
during 1885, divided 12 per cent, on the capital stock
among the stockholders, and in addition, carried a
handsome sum to the reserve fund.
C. C. HARVEY & Co., of Boston, Mass., have se-
cured the agency of the Wilcox & White organ.
W E have just received the new catalogue of C. D.
Pease & Co., New York. It contains excellent cuts
of their new glass panels, with different colored back
ground. Any color desired can be furnished with
these glass panels. It will be of advantage to the
dealers who do not already understand this valuable
patent of Pease & Co., to communicate with them.

not prove to be very numerous.
J. H. CHRISTIE, Stamford, Conn., is doing an ex-
cellent business. He has recently sold two Baus
pianos to the Stamford Club, to be used in the ele-
gant building which they have erected.
BOARDMAN & GRAY, Albany, N. Y., write us that
business is fine, and that they are about to introduce
some new improvements in their pianos which will
place them at the head.
IN a recent issue of our paper we stated the follow,
ing:—"The Knabe concert grand piano, used at the
Mozart Association concerts in Richmond, Va., is
from the piano and organ warerooms of Manly B.
Moses & Co. Messrs. Ramos & Co. are lively deal-
ers, and fast becoming popularly known all over Vir-
ginia. They are, however, to be congratulated upon
reoeiving the patronage of such an able association
as the " Mozart," and Messrs. Knabe & Co. ought to
feel proud that their piano has been selected."
This should have read Manly B. Ramos & Co.
OUR correspondent from Hornellsville writes that
trade in that section is improving considerably.

but they have gained a solid footing in the trade, and
are meeting with wonderful success. Their business
has increased so rapidly, and they are so far behind

much larger factory at 524 West Forty-third street.
