Editorial
Hello again, and here we are with the October magazine. Following my marathon
editorial last month, I shall keep it short this time. However, there is one item that
deserves a mention, and that of course is the Coventry auction on 30 th November.
We' re fast approaching that time of the year that we all look forward to, so it's time
for those of you who have items to enter to start digging them out and filling in your
entry forms . Please note that the closing date for entries is Monday 10 th November.
As mentioned earlier in the year, included in the auction will be one of the finest
collections of Bryans machines in the country. We intend offering roughly half of the
collection this time, and plan to run another auction in the spring (probably March) to
include the remainder. The vendor and I are currently finali sing which machines will
be offered this time, but the list is likely to include the 3-Ball allwins, Hidden
Treasure, Allsport, Retreeva, Trickier, Double Top and one of the rarest machines on
the planet (which I'm sure most of you will never have seen), the Six-O-More. So this
will be an event that the Bryans fans won't want to miss!
We have also had a fair number of other machines already committed, including
some rarities, so I have no doubt that we will have a great day to look forward to. I
shall try to start loading pictures as provided by vendors onto the magazine website as
soon as I receive them, so check the site regularly. If you ' ve never attended the
Coventry auction before, then make a point of doing so this year - it's the one day in
the year that no slottie can afford to miss! See page 14 for more details.
Until next time,
All the best
Jerry
