Editorial
Hello, and welcome to issue 53 of Mechanical Memories Magazine. Last month's
special Oliver Whal.es feature seems to have been very well received - many thanks for
all the emails. And thanks once again to Stuart for all the work be put into his research
over the last four years. Stuart is now working on another project, which will hopefully
be published in the magazine at sometime in the future.
This month, Stuart has writt.en a piece on his visit to the Bygones Experience in
Torquay (see page 9). l found this particularly interesting, as l had never heard of the
place! Seems they have a really nice collection of machines, including a few rarities. As
we approach the spring, I'm sure many of us will be thinking about day trips to
attractions with vintage slot machines, and Bygones is a great venue to add to tbe list.
And whilst on the subject, I have on several occasions in the past made a plea for articles
on Wookey Hole and Watem1outh Castle ... ... ... .. ....... to no avail! So if you visit either
of these attractions this year, do please consider writing a piece for the magazine, as
neither has yet been featured in the magazine.
Well, that's about it for now. The school half lenn holiday is fast approaching, so
weather permitting, I shall be open at Brighton for the week. As always, if you are in the
area, do pop in for a chat - it's always good to see you.
Till next lime, all the best
Jerry
