Farewell Maurice
Now, before I continue, I should state that this is not an obituary! As many of you will
know, Maurice and Pat Felce will shortly be retiring to Cyprus, but before they depart
these shores, I thought it appropriate to say a few words.
As one of the elders of our hobby, having started collecting back in the 70s, there
are few who don't know Maurice. And if you know Maurice, then you'll also know Pat-
they come as a pair! They have both been staunch supporters of our community, often
travelling long distances to attend the various events, shows and auctions. Indeed, it was
on one such occasion that I first met Maurice. Although I'm sure we must have met
previously, I first recall speaking to Maurice when they travelled down to Hastings in
1999, for the opening day of ' Remember When?' on the pier. More recently, it was good
to see them both, with Graham Millard, at Slotties' Day Out at Brighton last September.
