Because of the great success of Mills Cherry Bell , Watling featured ~he rri es on his
"Rol- A- Top" s hown above . Then, in addition, because O. D. Jennings so str ong emphasized
his triple jackpot , Johnny Watling renamed this slot, " New Diamond Bell" and added a
large center jackpot to the re~ular Twin Jack Pot of the Rol- A-Top . In fact , the words,
"Twin Jack Pot", can be seen above painted over . This machine , too , entered into the
new decade as one of Watling ' s top sellers . Watling Manufacturing Co ., Chicago, was
one of the very first coinfactories to plunge into all out war production.

: Limit Yoar Order to 5 llaclabaes of by Oae Type!
·------------------------------
This is reduced from the circular issued by Mills that measured 17" wide by 22" high .
Many were shocked when they received this large circular . Not becaus~ they didn ' t real-
ize this was wartime and the U. S . Navy had been seriously hurt at Pearl Harbor but , even
more , this circular brought home with great force that new machine production was over.
The limit of 5 machines of a kind to a customer (the slots had all been sold) the final
order blank, all added to the shock waves r olling from coast to coast . Thos e who had
money started to buy up new machines of all kinds . The demand for slot machines was
never greater at anytime in history as the revampers ent ered into the slot picture .
