Make your move. Upset or setup your operating. It's up to you. You can go along like
gran-pa or papa have these past 40 years and pay locations 50% rent on the income of
your games and music. Or - you can call a halt - right now - and put the facts on the
barrelhead, like a businessman should, with your locations.
Reset your deals. This is going to happen anyway. Because all over the country
operators are talking it over with their locations. With costs and overhead continuing
to go up, up and up - with take away off - sometbing's gotta give. And it's gotta give
quick before many an operator finds himself in deep and troubled financial waters.
Make your move. First - arrange for a $10 "service charge" off the top of everyone
of your gross collections - the $10 for you. Second - throw the antique, outworn and
rediculous 50/50 commission basis out of the window. Third - split the balance of the
collection on 70/30 - 7 keep on the way you're doing now - and go broke.

Ever since this current recession came barging down on the nation in the Fall of '73,
favorable pinball publicity spread far and wide with ever greater and more outstanding
display in the nation's press as well as in ma.gazines and over TV from coast to coast.
Never before in all pinball history has there been such commendation for this truly
American sport. A week doesn't pass but news items plsu glorified pictures are received
of someone, somewhere, extolling pinball. It is the sincere hope of all concerned that
those engaged in pinball will continue to deserve such outstanding praise.
