The Caille brothers didn't lag an inch behind Mills when it came to card play counter games. In fact,
they heated up the battle by cutting list prices a few dollars on each model of their well liked and
very popular, "Caille Good Luck" games. So that, as the first decade of the 20th century began to vane,
the entire slot machine industry vas found to be turning ava.y from the six feet tall color-wheel slots
to the more popular counter size that was meeting with greater and greater approval of storekeepers and
players as vell. Even in the largest saloons, where the huge color-wheel slots were considered as "stan-
dard equipment", there were now requests for the smaller counter type pa.yout machines. Local lavs had
much to do with this sudden turnabout from the large to the small. The small being easy to conceal.
