SUMMIT'S NEW VIDEO FRUIT
IS AN INSTANT HIT ON TOUR
Summit Coin's new
video-fruit machine, Push-
Over, got a tremendous
reception during a series
of recent nationwide pre-
views in Leeds, Burton-on-
Trent, the Tara Hotel,
London and on home
ground at Bridgend, Mid
Glamorgan.
But the new video:.fruit
had to share the limelight
with a new Summit A WP,
Pull-a-Winner, a machine
which incorporates all the
very latest micro-proces-
s or technology and
features the well-loved
side handle. Summit Man-
aging Director, Don Last
said he was absolutely
delighted with the recep-
tion both machines had
received. There was also
an enthusiastic welcome
for the recently intro-
duced three-reel A WP,
Diamond Dealer.
• Push.Over.
• Pull-a-Winner.
On the Push-Over video
fruit there is even simu-
lated reel kick-back and
the reel stops with a
judder. Summit Financial
Director David Amos ex-
plained: "Players have
come to expect these
characteristics on A WPs
and we have the tech-
nology to simulate them. "
Players can also use a
control lever as an added
attraction and the ex-
tremely attractive art
work was desinged by
Don Last himself. It also
has an in-built "accounts
system" which shows on
the screen at the turn of a
key. David Amos commen-
ted: " I think we have now
reached the stage in the
trade when something as
advanced as this will
really take off. The
tremendous amount of in-
terest shown at these
previews bears out this
view. "
Any fears that the Pull-
a-Winner would be over-
shadowed by the video
fruit were soon dispelled.
Summit executives were
delighted by the reception
it received, if a little
surprised.
David Amos said: "We
felt that with the tech-
nology we have the handle
was a feature worth
bringing back and the last
few days have proved us
right. The reaction has
been quite phenomenal. "
The handle is con-
trolled by a micro-pro-
c e s s o r . It -h a s be en
engineered so that it feels
as though it is operating a
mechanical reel. It has
simulated kick-back too.
" These fine points are
the difference between a
good machine and a
fantastic machine, " said
David Amos.
Summit also displayed
their range of video game
machines
including
Mayday and Scamble.
There were large crowds
at all four previews.
