STORY
BG VIDEO ARE AIMING FOR A BIGGER
SLICE OF THE MARKET
BG Video, the firm with
one of the most enviable
settings in the industry,
emerged from their re-
cent reorganisation with
clear cut targets.
They are very cons-
cious of the fact that the
video industry has level-
led out and will probably
continue to do so for some
time. Although there will
be
a
much
smaller
market, BG Video are
determined to capture a
much bigger slice of that
market — and from their
base in the heart of the
Cotswolds at Stow-on-the
Wold they are taking a
long, hard look at the
possibilities in Europe.

Managing Director Alan
Bassett said: ‘‘As we
capture a bigger share of
the market we shall
continue our expansion. it
will be necessary to incor-
porate some form of
diversification, be it an
allied product. We are
looking at the export
situation as well. We have
already ventured into
starting in
Europe,
Germany and Austria and
we are negotiating with
distributors in Denmark
and Holland. We can sell
the same machines there
with different coin
mechanisms and, of
course, the instructions in
the native language and
local jargon.
“If this venture Is
successful the next plan
