The price of their toys
Dear Folks,
As I was'merely thumbing through
the new issue of The Coin SLot, 'I
glanced the article by Dave Evans
"The Six Stages of Slot Collecting."
Even though th editiors found it
necessary to put a disclaimer at the
end of the article, I found it to be,
not only funny, but really true!
That article even sounded like
what happened to me! The only
differences being that I made some
of that 'peripherial stuff,' and my
wife really did like the pins and
necklesses!!
However, I think the thrill and excit-
ment of slots and restoring them is
about the same as the thrill that we
had as little kids building a model
and painting it! I am sure most of us
had model planes and model boats
that you had to glue together and
paint with Testors paints! Well, here
we are again, except we are a little
older, and instead of planes and
boats, it is slots and trade stimulators
The instruction sheet is still difficult
to read, and we always have left
over pieces
and we still use the
same glue and Testors paints

The Editor
Dear Editor;
I recently acquired an old pinball
machine — GONDOLA — manu
factured by the Exhibit Supply Co.
in 1950, which I would like to restore.
I would like a wiring schematic,
plus any and all information available
for this machine. I have had no
success so far in locating these.
Can your magazine, your staff, or
your readers assist me? I would
also be very interested in seeing a
copy of The Coin Slot magazine.
Thank you.
Yours Truly,
Bruce Tollestad
Dear Bruce;
You came to the right people.
Finding old pinball schematics can
be an iffy thing, and more are lost to
time than are known. But when you
mentioned
the

GONDOLA of 1950 it reminded us
of something. So we checked the
October,

that you can identify with the stages
he has described. Dave Evans seems
to have hit the nail on the head but
we also felt he made a good point
