Dear Editor
I am sending you a copy of the claw machine I am starting to
restore. In the May issue of The Coin Slot, the article on the
Streets done by Nic Costa shows a picture of a similar machine.
Could you please forward the picture to Mr. Costa and ask
him to please send all the information he knows on this machine
to me.
I've written everywhere and had little response.
Thank you,
Marilynn Abrams

successful ELECTRIC TRAVELLING CRANE made by
International Mutoscope ofNew York Work on developing the
machine reportedly began as early as 1926. By 1929, patent
applications had been filed in a number ofcountries. The U.K.

was manufactured in England under license. In 1933, the

Dear Editor,
My interest in coin machines, particularly the payout pinballs
of the 1930s, goes back a long, long way and it's a pleasure to
begin subscribing to your excellent magazine. I was delighted to
learn that Dick Bueschel is preparing a book on the "100 Most
Collectible Pinballs" and although he has undoubtedly selected
all of the games for this first book, I would still like to offer a few

suggestions in the hope that they might be included in the
" Second Hundred" if they don't make the first edition. Here are
some of my choices:
1. Rockola's WORLD SERIES - Nobody could argue with
this one.
2.
Bally's TRAFFIC - I would love to see a write-up on this
old 5-ball seducer with its light-up semaphores.
3. Jennings'
HUNTER - Another 5-ball payout.
