Coin Slot Magazine - #085 - 1982 - March [International Arcade Museum]
Letters to the Editor continued
strating the value ofdescribing andpricing rare or little-known
machines in these "100 Most Collectible..." price guides. It
stimulates the search and helps uncover machines that otherwise
prices and an index ($15.95 plus postage from Coin Slot
Books).
Tofurther update the data in the book, it appears that 8 to 10
ofthese machines are known to exist, with about halfRoyal and
the other halfMills production They are a very classy looking
machine in that they have a colorful display of six winning
poker hands on the display panel just in front of the reels.
Two or three ofthese machines have shown up since the book
was printed, with recognition stimulated by the book, demon-
would be missed or ignored A Mills THE TRADER showed up
in Peoria, Illinois late in 1978, found among thepossessions of
an old saloon operator. Another one or two ofthe Royal models
have shown up in California, which still seems the bestplace to
find one of these gems.
Asfor value, the pricing in the book seems as valid today as
ever, ranging from $800 in poor shape to $3,000 in prime or
mint condition. Actually, this pricing may be a bit high as the
sales or trades of this machine in the past three years have
ranged in the $1,200 to $1,800 area.
Hmmmmmm. Do you know something about a Mills
TRADER that we don't know?

Dear Editor,
I have been trying to obtain some information on a coin
machine that I have. Your name was mentioned in the Antique
Trader and I would appreciate any information you can give me.
I am enclosing two pictures, a description and sketch. I would
like to know about when it was manufactured, its approximate
value and where there might be a market for it.
