Not Just Another Catalog Reprint!!
The earliest known Mills catalog
and very possibly their first (1898)
This 40 page (5l/2" x 8V2") catalog features machines never before
reproduced in any catalog, and many that only the historians have
heard of.
Pictured are: Counter Kalamazoo, Little Pau-Pau, Orbit Cigar
Machine, Orbit Candy Machine, The Admiral, The Klondyke,
Check Card Machine (an Upright Perfection that pays out a
token—WOW!!) And more. (16 in all)
There are 4 pages on the Admiral Upright (the head is at the
extreme right instead of center), 5 pages on the OWL Upright
including mechanism drawings (obviously Mills was introducing
their first upright)
Best of all — Photos of the Mills offices, shipping department,
plating room, foundry, experts room, and factory building — with
machines everywhere in the background.
Every page has been rescreened (printers' lingo) to produce
perfect clarity.
The price of this fantastic piece of history is a mere $6.50.
COUNTER KALAMAZOO
This offering is limited to one catalog per collector and only while the supply lasts. Checks will
be returned if we run out of catalogs, (as happened 4 years ago with our other reprints)
If you have any doubts as to the quality, rarity or beauty of this catalog — send a S. A.S.E. (self-
addressed stamped envelope) and we will send 2 pages FREE.

THE COIN SLOT-15
Coin Slot Magazine - #080 - 1981 - October [International Arcade Museum]
Editors Statement
Rosanna Harris
A change of any kind must be sparked by a special
interest, a desire to be or make something better. That
is particularly true of any kind of periodic written
material; the content obviously has to be changed in
order to hold reader interest. Occasionally other
changes must occur, sometimes subtle and other
times very bold. Many of you have been with us
through a number of changes in The Coin Slot and as
you know, each revision or new step was carefully
calculated to bring something worthwhile to our
readers. This last year has been highlighted with a
number of changes and as we promised before, we
have more for you.
Beginning with our November issue, our cover will be
full, four color and each month will feature a special
machine — slot, trade stimulator, arcade machine,
gumball, jukebox, pinball or some related item — on
the cover. Now more than ever we need to know what
you would like to see and read about. It also offers a
special challenge to some of you to try your hand at
writing.
Our November issue will also feature the beginning
of a series of updates on the state laws. We are in the
process of receiving actual copies of the laws from
each state, including those which have not yet enacted
any affirmative legislation. This is another step in our
effort to aid in changing the state laws in favor of you
collectors.
We received good response in our quest to find a
new managing editor. We have been very successful
and have found someone deeply interested in coin-op
and with a background in the magazine industry. We
will formally introduce Debi Knight in our November
issue. It only seems fitting that you meet Debi in
conjunction with our largest project thus far.
We have seen a lot of growth since February of 1980
and we're really excited about the great prospects of
the next few months.
