Dear Mr. Legeer,
We really enjoyed receiving and reading your letter. We were
amazed by theprices you quoted on the machines. Many ofour
dealers would be extremely happy to get those amounts for
machines.
Dear Byron,
Your machine is the Space "Front Open", a casino model
made by the Space Manufacturing Company in Sparks,
Nevada in the late 1950's, and later by Space Manufacturing

Apparently it is not difficult to ship machines to Europe. The
dealer with whom I spoke said that whoever sells you the
machine merely prepares an invoice which accompanies the
machine. The normal means ofshipment is by air. The customs
papers, etc. are handled on the receiving end. You might

Dear Editor:
A friend ofmine from Illinois suggested that you might be able
to help me in my search for the mechanism for a 10 antique slot machine. The ownership of such machines has been
legal in Missouri for several years and I picked up the cabinet
and base for this machine several months ago in southern
Missouri. I have contacted all of the collectors that I know in the
St. Louis area without success.

Letters to the Editor continued
butfound out that casino operators had a terrible time turning
the machines around to get the take. So they reengineered the
cabinet and rehashed the mechanism to have it open from the
front to make it easier.
So you're looking for a Space "Front Open" mechanism
made between 1957 and 1965, in lOt play. Even though you 've
got the PR1MAD0NNA model just about any Space "Front
Open" Wt mechanism will work.
So you're looking for a Space "Front Open" mechanism
But where to get one? That's not easy. First of all, this is a
"late" machine, and is theoretically illegal in some states.
Secondly, we can't remember ever seeing an extra Space
mechanismfor sale or at auctions. We can suggest two possible
sources, both COIN SLOT advertisers:
