EDITOR'S STATEMENT
This issue marks the second anniversary of my ownership of
The Coin Slot.
I would like to extend a great big thank you to everyone who
has helped make the magazine a success during the past year.
Among these people are:
Dave Bassitt, Steve Young, John Fetter-
man, Dick Bueschel, Bob Frankenberger, and a host of others who
have sent in news clippings, information and articles.
This month we have a special contribution from the original
founder of The Coin Slot, Mr. Les Druyan.
He has contributed a
very interesting article plus the photo (and story that goes with
the photo) on the front cover of this issue. A special thanks goes
out to him for founding The Coin Slot to begin with!
This month we welcome the state of Wisconsin to the growing
list of states that have legalized antique slot machines. Congratula
tions to all the collectors in Wisconsin who worked so hard to make
it a reality! Their efforts finally paid off, and now they can openly
buy and sell antique slots in Wisconsin without fear of any reper
cussions.
Lastly, I'd like to make a plug for a new book. Well known slot
machine expert Dick Bueschel and frequent contributor to The
Coin
Slot will
soon
have his new book "An
Illustrated Price
Guide to the 100 Most Popular Collectible Slot Machines"
lished in Mid-July.
