PENNY KING
Lohmuller's "Penny King" vending
machine was manufactured in Detroit
Michigan.
On the bottom of every
Penny King you will find the inscrip
tion Lohmuller's — Penny King— De
troit, Michigan.
Lohmuller's "Penny King" vending
machine was designed to be used with
% inch "Chick-L-Maid" large ball gum.
This machine - believe it or not - could
be operated with 1 cent U.S., Cana
dian or Mexican coins.
The Penny King shown in the pic
ture has the small globe - and about
six inches in height A very small ma
chine.
The very latest - up-to-date
model around 1931 - used an extra
large moulded globe.
You will find that the Penny King was sold as a single unit or
sets of twos.
It is not uncommon to find twins existing today.
The single unit on brackets, fit on door-jambs, or small spaces
which were not available for larger machines.
Twin-Penny Kings- permitted the use of solid flavors in one unit
(Peppermint, Spearmint, and Licorice.) at the time this machine
was available it was currently selling for $4.75 not, fob factory -
and this price included 150 balls % inch "Chic-L-Maid gum".
