Coin Slot Magazine - #047 - 1978 - December [International Arcade Museum]
IMPORTANT NOTICE
To
all
collectors/producers
of reprints, reproduction
parts,
books, catalogs, reel strips, award cards, etc.!
* We want to help you increase your sales & profits dramatically
while eliminating many of your problems simultaneously.
* We have a business proposition to make to you.
Please read on:
We at the Coin Slot are starting a mail order department to
service collectors of slots, jukeboxes, pinballs, arcade games, etc.
with ALL the miscellaneous items they need for restoring machines
and increasing their knowledge.
We know that our advertising
power can sell greater quantities of any reproduced product than
you can do on your own. We also know that the more items you
have in your inventory, the greater the sales.
Many collectors
buy small items on "Impulse".
If they see it in the Coin Slot
mail order department they might add several small items to their
order to us — but they would never write you a letter and a check
for this small item. We want to be distributing as many different
items as possible, and we need your help.
Many collectors have reproduced one or two items, and have
never bothered to sell them. We know you do not have the mailing
facilities, and a small order would be more bother to you than the
price you got for the items. We plan on eliminating your problems,
and letting you get a good return on the items you have produced.
We will have two plans for handling your items, and you can
choose which you want
Plan-A COIN SLOT Mail Order Department handles every
thing. You furnish us an inventory of the item you have produced,
and we will get the orders, and handle the mailing to the customer.
We will keep good records, and every 3 months will balance our
sales, and send you a check for what is due you. On this plan,
we mutually establish a selling price, and COIN SLOT gets 50%
of the selling price, and you get 50%.

■Plan-B Drop Shipments-On this plan, COIN SLOT Mail Order
solicits the orders for your items, as well as others, and we send
you shipping instructions. You pay the postage, you do the pack
ing and mailing. On this situation COIN SLOT Mail Order Depart
ment gets 40% of the selling price as our Sales Commission. You
can readily see that this will work on larger items, but if we were
to handle a dollar item on this plan, we could not afford to mail
