Bassitt of Wayzata, Minn, has kindly consented to
write a monthly article on gum ball vendors.
I visited with Mr.
Bassitt on the phone recently and he is very well versed in this
line of collecting.
It will fill a hole in the Coin Slot which is
badly needed.
Mr.
Charles
Pheiffer of
Maryland also has consented to do a
monthly series on a very needed area; that of coin operated auto
matic music.
I paid a visit to Chuck's restoration shop a couple
of weeks ago and I was very impressed with the beautiful restora
tions in progress.
This gentleman is a perfectionist and he is very
partial to Mills Violano Virtuosos.
I have had the pleasure of
seeing Chuck's personal Mills Violano as well as another in the
collection of Mr.
Bruce Miller's in Virginia.
Bruce told me he
carried his Mills Violano in to Chuck in parts and it came out
near mint.
Starting this month and continuing each month there will be an
informative article on those enterprises throughout the country
that deal in coin operated
The first will be GAMES
of Encino, California. The next will be ANTIQUE AMUSEMENTS
of Brooklyn, New York and so on.
