Coin Slot Magazine - #015 - 1976 - January [International Arcade Museum]
During this Bicentennial year it is significant to note that the bell slot, the
foremost coin operated gambling device of all time, was named in honor of the
famous American symbol of freedom, the Liberty Bell. Mills Novelty (curr
ently Mills Bell-O-Matic) has always labeled their slot parts MLB (Mills
Liberty Bell). Also the bell symbol, the largest payout on the first Fey
Liberty Bells, in the only original symbol remaining on the machines today.
