THE LOWDOWN ...
THE FAST MONEY BOYS
June, 1949 finds upward of eighty 1801 alleged shuffleboard manufacturers in the U.S.A. Only ten 1101 of same were in pro-
duction a scant fifteen I 15 l months ago.
.
For the past ten 1101 to twenty 1201 years shuffleboards were manufactured, developed, promoted and marketed by veteran
shuffleboard men, who, through the years, devoted their entire energies toward placing shuffleboard in the enviable position it now
enjoys.
They were so successful that today every possessor of a hammer and saw and a desire for "the fast buck" has set himself up
as a shuffleboard manufacturer. Granted some of the newcomers to the field produce a product wortliy of being called a shuffleboard.
But there are also a great number of comic opera artisans fabricating I ?l and marketing I ?l for quick, easy revenue only. And with-
out regard for the game's future or those to whom they have sold.
