Lyn Brown Co. has taken over the Wash-
ington Blvd. spot vacated by AOLAC, who
moved into their new building on Pico.
The firm is . exclusive distributor for Cali-
fornia, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and
Hawaii for Scientific Machine Corp., manu-
facturers of Pokerino and Derby Roll (two-
man location roll-down), and also has the
Southe~n California "ex" for United Mfg.
Co.

The sales chart for Gray Mills chassis
and parts cleaners, handled by Alpha Dis-
tributing Co., is still shooting upward. The
new cleaners are colored green and red.
E. H. Borough, special representative for
Alpha, made ··the trip to Chicago by auto-
mobile and rehirned to California bulging
with orders for 30-wire cable, an Alpha
specialty.

Business is brisk at Elky Ray's (Gold
Coast Coin Machine Exchange) new home.
The o~ces are well-lighted and compact
and are equipped with all modern con-
veniences. ._
The reason 'B.ill Wolf of M. S. Wolf Dis-
tribllting Co. was s.o anxious'· to return to
California after the' show has just been
discovered.: while in Chicago, he received
a wire from his car deal~r notifying him
that one of the two 1947 Cauillacs, which
had been on order for months, was ready
for delivery. The other, a convertible, will
be forthcoming any day now. Wolf left for
an extended six week tri p th~ latter part of
February, which will include- every branch
office of the firm and extend 'lnto Montana.

A. A. Silberman, general manager of the
company, annouri:ced the appointment of a
new salesman, Bob Portel, who will work

out of the Seattle office. Portel was a former
regional manager for a record company in
Los Angeles and has had years of close
association with the trade.
Badger Sales has added Cash-Tray, the
popular nickel almond vendor, to its line
and has placed several repeat orders with
the factory.
Personnel changes at Southern California
Automatic Music Operator's Association
have been coming thick and quick. Mollie
Simon has resigned as secretary; announce-
ment of her future plans is expected shortly.
. . . Mollie's replacement, Fay DeHardt,
left for Jersey City on February 19 because
of a serious illness in the family. During
her temporary absence, Tliorna Mathews is
holding down the office fort .. . . In charge
of SCAMOA's filing system i5 Edythe Mit-
tleman. . . . Another resignee is O. K.
J ones, former inspector for the City of Los
Angeles, who is now jobbing electrical de-
vices. Seymour Bernstein is filling in at
Jones' old post as location checker until a
successor is named.

W. E. Simm 'lS, Western sales manager
for Packard Mfg. Corp., says he had "quite
an excitin and diversified time" at the
show. Sim ns and other western district
managers received orders totalling 13 car-
loads of Paekard Pia-Mor #7 models;
half of those 13 cars are either enroute to
purchasers or already delivered, with the
balance scheduled for early March. Orders
booked for t~ew Packard bar for play-
rooms reached a volume far exceeding the
firm's expectations, Simmons reported. "The
musical bar ha many features," he said.
