Reunion de la eM!
La reunion anual de la CMI (Coin Ma-
chine Industries, Incorporated) se verifico'
en Chicago el 3 hasta el 6 de febrero.
Asistieron a la co nferen cia mas de 10,000
operadores, di stri buidores y manufactureros
de maquinas automaticas. Deseosos· de ver
las maquinas nuevas, lIegaron de todas
partes del pais y del Can~da. Las vieron y
las aplaudieron.

No cabian todas las maquinas en la sala
de exhibioiQ n del Hotr l Sherman. Por eso
v~rios . ma;'uf!lctureros in stalaron sus ma-
quinas en apartm:nientos y en el entresuelo
de varios otros hoteles.
Tambien las errtpresas ubicadas en Chi-
cago tenian abiertos sus oficinas y talleres
para recibir a las visitas. '
Con eh tusiasmo los miembros de la in-
dustria inspeccionaron las maquinas nuevas.
Los vendedores automaticos - maquinas
para vender cigarrillos, puros, dulces, estam-
pillas, helados, bedidas, esq~te, librQs, etc.
- recibieron mucba atencion. Entre las
maquinas jugadoras, los juegos automati cos
de boliche atraj eron sumo interes.
En los parrafQs sigueintes les dJ.lmos una
descripcion breve de algunas de las ma-
quinas exhibidas alii.
Fonografos automaticos
Una baja en el precio de fonografos
automaticos fue indicada. Aireon Manufac-
turing Corporation mostro un'modelo nuevo
que se vendera a $695.00 y Bally Manufac-
turing Company ofrecio una maquina que se
vendera a $595.00.
Mills Industries, Incorporated, luciD su
fonografo nuevo en Chicago poco antes de
la reunion. Se 10 presento a los distribui-
dores de la elllpresa con un banquete en el
Hotel Continental. Durante los dias siguien-
tes los distribuidores asistieron aclases
especiales con ducidas por los oficiales de
Mills. T ambien visitaron los talleres y
,inspeccion aron las lineas de produccion.
Este fonografo, el primero fabricado pOI'
Mills desde la guerra, se llama Constella-
tion. P esa 325 libras y la caja es d& '
aluminio. Caben veinte discos-cuarenta
selecciones-en el fonografo.
National Filben Corporation va a entrar
en produccion con un fonografo nuevo · que
fue exhibido por primera vez en Chicago.
Desarrollado antes de la guerra, el mecanis-
mo del fonografo llamo mucha atencion
pero debido al fallecimiento repentino del
inventor nunca fue iniciada la produccion.
Sonora Productions, I~corporated, que
recientemente anuncio una paja en el precio
de discos, presento sus discos nuevos. Se
venden a 39 centavos cada uno al por menor,
o 26 centavos al por maYOl',
Permo, Incorporated, demostro sus agujas
para fonografos automa,ticos con cuatro
placas giratorias en las ,. c,uales se empleaba
(a) un a aguja Permo, (,b) una aguja con
punta de zafiro, (c) y ~d) agujas fabricadas
por otras compaii'jas. Funcionando por 11
horas sucesivas,220 funcionamientos-
dieron testimonio visible de la condicion de
los discos despues de tal prueba.
Maquinas jugadoras
Strikes 'n' Spares, juego automatico de
boliche, ya est;' ~ier do fabricado por Allite
Manufacturing ':::offl1:>any de Los Angeles,
California.
Cointrol I: corpoiated, de Chicago, demo-
stro su mac; ,.tina nueva, Zodi. Es una ma-
quina neum:tica de escribir que da horo-
scopos. El ftgador escoge el signo del
zodiaco bajo 'eo' ::uill nacio, mete 25 centa-
vos en el mecal _IIIO y aprieta el boton que
corresponde 1f' aquel signo. La maquina
escribe su hor gl;c po y se 10 da.
Square Amusement Company, Pough-
keepsie, New Yor1c, presento una maquina
jugadora Hamada Sportsman Roll. Electro-
Games Compapy de Grand Rapids, Michi-
gan, exhibio
wi-A-Line, juego ,auto-
matico.
Vendedores' p tomaticos
National Vend 1's" Incorporated, de St.
Louis, Missouri, e"i~i io una maquina auto-
matica que vende cho tipos de mercancia
