Simplified Location Agreement
Stands Test of Time
Involved location agreements and a maze
of small type placed befor e a location
owner will inva riably result in a shrugged
should er and a desire expressed inwardly
to let the matter ride for awhile. With thi s
knowledge in hand THE REVIEW published
a few yea rs back a simplified type of loca•
tion agreement- easy enou gh for any busy
merchant to easily understand on one hur•
ried rea ding, and inclusive enough to cover
all important phases of an operation of any
type of equipment, within a given location.
Last month THE REVIEW checked back
on a group of operators in various parts of
the country to see just how successful thi s
agreement has proven and if it has with•
stood the test of time and is still fun ction.
able enough to warrant continued use. A
one hundred percent approval of the form

quiry, and so proudly we reprint the form
for the value it may now have to operators
using difficult forms and who wish to adopt
a proven agreement form. It will be noted
that provision has been made for the han-
dling of United States taxes on equipment
operations. In some instances operators
have revised this to include local, county
or state taxes. Such an inclusion seems
only justifiable und er present conditions
and, in some cases, thi s paragraph has been
re.written so that the entire taxes on a
particular piece of equipment have been
paid by the location, or deducted from the
location share of th e receipts. Operators
will re.write this paragraph to conform to
their established policy in the matter of
taxes.

wartime conditions. All material appearing herein has been supplied by operators •

THE TROUBLE SHOOTER wi shes to tak e
thi s opportunity to wish each and every
Operator and Mechanic a Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year.
As things look today it may be quite a
while before new ma chines are on the mar-
ket, so take the best of care of those you
have running now.
We have noticed, and have had some
work , on the Club Bells Consoles where
th e shaft to th e roll ers and stops on th e
wheels have been welded to keep them in
place. This is okeh until you break a roller
and have to replace it or any pa rt connect-
ed to the shaft.
You can get a part made at any machin e
shop to make these stops as solid as they
are when welded and can be removed by
unscrewing an Allen Key. If the operators
wish to have these made, THE TROUBLE
SHOOTER will be glad to send a drawing to
you so that you can put the part on your

Seeburg Tone Arm Adjustments on mod-
els 7800 should be approximately 3½
ounces and on 7850, 8800 and 9800 should
be 2½ ounces. If a weight t est is made
while machine is being played it is easy to
determine when the needle starts lifting
out of the record groove. On the model
7800 you can vary the weight by bending
the flat spring underneath the tone arm to
give the desired weight.
On other models you ca n vary the weight
by changin g the setting of the screw locat-
ed in the center of the tone arm.
