In these trying months of World War Number Two, the Music Opera-
tors of the Nation are doing a wonderful job in bringing entertainment and
music for moments of relaxation to soldiers. sailors and marines. Conscien-
tiously these operators are contributing definitely to the morale of the men
in uniform, as well as those of us out of uniform and engaged in other war
production activity. The nation must be ever grateful to these operators
for the part they are playing in proviciing /!1usic and entertainment.
There can be no doubt but what the Music Operators today are con-
tributing more entertainment to the .m en in uniform than any other branch of
the amusement industry. It is a record each and everyone of you should be
proud of ... and, as one who has a$,,5 i ~ted you in· your equipment require-
ments for years past, we pay tribute to _your magnificent contribution to the
war eHort.

In providing music for our fig hting men, wherever they inay be, or
whenever they may desire it, you are winning new laurels for the auto-
