LOS ANGELES-The Associated Opera-
tors of Lo~ Angeles County have been the
recipient of many thank you letters during
the past few weeks as the result of the fine
co-operation given various .groups in need
of games, athletic equipment, radios and
automatic phonographs. Hundreds of pieces
have been donated and distributed to the
Army, Navy and Marine camps throughout
Southern California, in addition to govern-
ment hospitals, U.S.O. centers and other
entertainment facilities. In many cases
members have donated their time also to
keep the equipment in good working condi-
tion by servicing it regularly.
Thank you messages have been received
from U. S. Naval Hospital at Corona,
Volunteer Army Canteen Service, Florence
Community Center, Rotary Club of South
Gate and Walnut Park, The American
Legion, Sons of the American Legion, An-
telope Valley Emblem Club of 76, Los An-
geles Community Welfare Federation, Hunt-
ington ·Park Woman's Club Juniors, Little
Sisters of the Poor, Western Jewish Insti-
tute, Chief of Police of Gardenia, Monrovia
Health Camp, Junior Workers of Mt. Sinai
Hospital, The Troupers, Boy Rangers of
America, Youth Cabin Fund of Hawthorne,
Bell Gardens Church of Christ, Citizens
Committee for the Army and Navy and
many, many more.
In addition the members have responded
nobly to the nationwide appeal to engage
in Office of Civilian Defense Work, the
purchase of War Savings Bonds and Stamps
and blood bank donations.

a long period, is recognized wherever coin
. machines are operated. It has been a big
factor in helping us to set sales records on

vital requirements, for continued operating,
we enjoy the confidence of operators the
nation over, thanks to the constantly
guarded high standards which guide our
service department," Stern said.
Parina Family Enlarged
SAN FRANCIS CO.-Mary Lynn is the
name of the package from Heaven that
dropped into the R. A. Parina home the
last of May to take her place in the house-
hold with a 4Y2 year old daughter the Pa-
rinas adopted in the East a year ago.
Mary Lynn was only 10 days old when
she came to the Parinas but Dick has made
her arrival a terrific event and now little
Mary Lynn feels that the Parinas really
know how to do a bang up job on receiving
"bundles from Heaven."
