Rock-Ola Clicks
with Northern Cal. Ops
SAN FRANCISCO (RC)-A big splash
in the local coin machine pool was
made this month when Clarence Mc-
Clelland opened his RG>ck-Ola head-
quarters on Golden Gate Ave. and de-
clared his intention of showing the city
what his machines will do. It proved to
be no idle threat, for in the two weeks
that McClelland has been plying his
trade he has sold every carload ship-
ment that he has been able to lay his
hands on, and goes about muttering in
his beard that he can't get more . Up to
the first of the year McClelland was dis-
trict manager for Rock-Ola with the
seven Western states as his territory.
For five years he held this job until
Rock-Ola decided San Francisco and
points north needed a red-blooded he-
man to fight its battles. McClelland,
well known in these parts, has found a
ready reception for his machines.
Miss Helen Kessler who has acted as
McClelland's private secretary for the
past three years is serving in -that ca-
pacity. The newly decorated offices are
in three tones of blue wall board and
set off to good advantage the brightly
colored Rock-Olas on display around
the room. McClelland's territory will in-
include California, north of Fresno Ore-
gon, and Washington.
