Rock-Ola Plans Show
Confidence
in Future
de-
To predict the future with any
gree of certainty is not altogether
the easiest thing in the world. What
tomorrow holds few of us know.
For this reason, our organization
prefers to let actual products and
policies tell the story.
That the Rock-Ola Manufacturing
Corporation is confident of the future
is evidenced by our present plans.
These include an expansion program
on an unprecedented scale, details of
which will be released shortly.
The Rock-Ola organization plans.
also, include the expenditure of a
quarter of a million dollars for the
development and perfection of new
and more profitable products for op-
erators. And, in the near future,
news of these new products will be
sent to operators throughout the
world.
It is not my purpose to take a lot
of your time by delving into a lengthy
story of the future. But, I believe,
I can sum up a long story in a few
words: The Rock-Ola Manufacturing
Corporation places at your command
its complete facilities and resources
for your profit and progress--you
can always depend on Rock-Ola for
the kind of co-operation that really
means more money for you.
DAVID C. ROCKOLA,
President '
Rock-Ola. Mfg. Corporation.

Irving Bromberg can well lay claim
to the niftiest showrooms in the
country. Irving has taken over a for-
mer high-class furniture store and
has converted it into one of the fin-
est display floors this reporter has
ever laid lamps on.
Another firm has opened on West
Washington Boulevard in Los Ange-
les to sell machines. A new sign on
the window proclaims to passersby
that it is the United Amusement
Company.

To Harry Williams goes this
month's golden headed thumb tack.
We just learned his new boat is called
Contact and we know he calls his new
doggie Signal. What are you going
to call that n~w air-flow Chrysler you
bought this Ynonth, Harry 1 Maybe
Sig-tact would be okeh.
Operators report business on the
upgrade throughout town after some-
what of a lull while the players were
learning their A. B. C.'s.
Some time ago THE REVIEW pub-
lished an editorial on the hinterland
spaces and told operators to look to
the byways for choice money-making
spots. It is indeed gratifying to have
seven operators come into our offices
during the past month and tell us of
the dandy spots they have snapped
up out in the out-of-way places.
William Nathanson is back in L. A.
lounging about and renewing his con-
tacts here. Bill is the man that gave
Forward Pass to the world. After
supplying the 'Coast he, in association
with Bud Leiberman, moved to Chi-
cago and opened a huge factory
there. Bill couldn't savvy the Windy
City and is plenty glad to get back to
the land of perpetual sunshine. Wel-
come home!
