has been developed similar to that
used on the race tracks.
The employe in the plant who be
lieves that his department will head
the sales honor roll for the month
backs up his belief by securing these
tickets.

The grand race is on and the win
ners of the sales contest will be' an
nounced at a later date. Operators
who visited the plant were surprised
to see signs about quoting odds and
other signs indicating the betting
commissioner’s office and the like.
This is one of the most novel sales
contest arrangements ever conducted
by a coin machine manufacturer and
has been very successful in enlisting
the loyalty and support of every em
ploye from the shipping department
on up to the department heads.

the stables of Colonels Fred, Ralph,
Herbert and Hayden Mills.
Each of these Colonels are sup
posed to conduct stables and have en
tered their various sales executives
and other officials as running horses
in the race. Each of the stables con
tributes a prize for the best showing
and in order to stimulate the interest
of employees about the plant tickets
are sold to everyone in the factory
and offices. Interest is created by a
A loud speaker broadcast is con
ducted at the plant every day and
some well known coin machine fig
ures have appeared as guests of honor,
giving the race enthusiasts inspira
tional talks.
Considerable comment has been
heard around the trade about this
contest and everyone is watching the
results with keen interest.
