by John Carini
It's my first weel.i; of retirement, and I now hove time to attend local
weel.i; day auctions. One such auction proved especially beneficial.
On July 30th, I picl.i;ed up on old Germon 1 cent scale mode by Seco .
The auctioneer said the scale was quite heavy, especially for its size ,
and wasn't sure if it worl.i;ed . We managed to picl.i; up the scale for
$160 with buyer premium . It was a small scale, so I was surprised
how heavy it was. My son , Nicl.i;, helped me carry it to the car. We
tool.i; the scale home and porl.i;ed it in our garage. I was able to picl.i;
the locl.i;, and out poured money ev-
erywhere. It was filled with pennies,
nicl.i;els and dimes, (see photo .)
I managed to fill on entire 2-gollon
pail. I hod a hard time lifting it to get
it in my car. I received strange lool.i;s
when I brought the big pail filled with
money to my local bonl.i; . Two tellers
jointly lifted the bucl.i;et and tool.i; it to
the bocl.i; room for counting. The to-
tal was $59.60 . It was a nice bonus.
And , the scale worl.i;s!
I also picl.i;ed up a
1930's Silver Cup
Pinball Machine.
Does anyone hove
wooden legs for this machine?
