effect for our post-war indust­
ry, too. After all, one of our
ways of life these boys — and
all of us — are fighting for is

Johnson Fare Box Expands

Following the recent expan­
sion of its coin-wrapper depart­
ment in Chicago, the Johnson
Fare Box Company is now in
full production on cartridge or
gun-shell types of coin-wrap-
pers as well as its flat, tubular
types, a c c o r d i n g to an an­
nouncement just made by Fred
J. Burt, vice-pres. in charge
of sales.
This expanded service fol­
lows the company’s recent ac­

result, it is stated, Johnson is in

Corps at Smyrna Air Field.....
Charlie Spivak’s top number in
“Pin-Up Girl” is “Time Alone
W ill Tell,” one of the n e w
Monaco-Gordon ditties. T h e
tune runs almost five minutes
and is said to be the longest
straight musical sequence used
in a picture to date.....Captain
Glenn Miller’s program is now
heard over NBC Saturday even­
ings.

“Hctcha Comia” (Fox Trot)
Spike Jones has come up
with another super-duper nov­
elty. He and the band add a
few more unusual sound effects
to their musical vocabulary,
and come up with a really fan­
tastic arrangement of that old
Russian favorite “Dark Eyes,”
which they call HOTCHA COR-
NIA, or “Black Eyes.” In this
epic they feature such musical­
ly unique devices as tin cans,
assorted fire bells, and a won­
derful old-time a u t o m o b i l e
h o r n , and highlight the ar­
rangement with some extra­
ordinary vocal-gymnastics. The
