b e l l has been created which operates on
the free play principle that is so much in
demand half the country over! No payouts
of any kind are made— there is no payout
cup or drawer— but a complete record of the
player’s progress in operating the Bell is kept
on the scoreboard! Each time, after the reels
spin, a combination appears which would be
a payout on an automatic-payout machine;
the amount of the reward is identified in the
form of “ thousands” on the scoreboard, the
proper amount lighting up instantly. Handle
is now automatically tripped up to give the
equivalent number of free plays without
further deposit of coins. The score increases
as new rewards are added or decreases as
plays are made without reward combina
tions. Even on non-award combinations, a
“consolation score” is posted on bottom line;
this score in no way is connected with the
free-play operation, but acts as an interesting
device to hold interest between players.
Although this machine is an entirely different
machine from the Jumbo Parade Payout
model, and not interchangeable, its cabinet
is identical in appearance, design, and color
ing. Its Jackpot equivalent is a score of 60
which is posted on the appearance of the
three Jumbos in a line. It is equipped with
the famous Mills s l u g p r o o f c h u t e which
rejects all slugs. The scoring section is vis
ible and legible at a distance of from 50
to 75 feet, and any accumulated score may
be cancelled by the player personally after
being noted by the location. Two meters
inside the machine give a complete check on
all scores made. Five-cent play; animal reels
standard; fruit reels optional.
