Tom Hanlon Is Appointed
Rock-Ola Ad Manager

promoted to the position of adver
tising manager with the Rock-Ola
Manufacturing Corporation.
Hanlon has been with Rock-Ola in
the Phonograph Division, and suc
ceeds Mr. Milton Swanstrom who has
accepted a position on the West Coast.
Hanlon has had plenty of advertis
ing experience. Before joining Rock-
Ola he was director of sales and
manager of the advertising depart
ment of the Advance Pattern and
Foundry Company, manufacturers of
the famous Super-Maid Cookware

from 1925 to 1931. From 1931 to
1934 he was in the advertising busi
ness both in Chicago and New York.
He also helped to create and originate
the Club Aluminum Company in 1922.
For some years Hanlon was affiliated
with the amusement world, having
been a performer in well-known
musical comedies and managed a num
ber of well-known musical comedies
such as, ‘Irene,” “The Pink Lady,”
“The Big Little Show,” “Madame
Butterfly” and Jane Cowl’s “Smiling
Thru.” He should be well qualified
to fill the position considering his
background of experience.
