Group Organized
Articles of incorporation for the
Southern Michigan Coin Machine
Operators association, 602 American
National bank building, Kalamazoo,
as a non-profit organization were re­
ceived recently at the county clerk’s
office from the state corporation and
securities commission.
Purposes of the association are out­
lined in the articles as follows: To
foster good will, harmonious action,
and respect among those in the trade;
to co-operate in promotion of the coin
machines, and stimulation of public
interest in automatic service; to lend
its influence to enactment of laws
against misuse of American legal
tender coins and to oppose harmful,
obnoxious, and confiscatory legisla­
tion and taxes.
Officers of the organization are:
J. R. Pieters, president; E. B. Boom-
erschein, vice-president; M. J. Marcus,
secretary;and C. V. McDonald, trea­
surer. Other charter members in­
clude S. J. Isaac, L. E. Monroe, Tudor
Tolle, Alden Moss, Gottfried Sten-
quist, Ralph A. Hibbard, and R. D.
Thomas.
