A m id frenzied excitement a n d resounding cheers,
“Boots a n d Saddles” summon the gallopeers;
They’re at the post a n d the barrier’s sprung,
The <(bang ta ils ” are o ff on a long swift run;
A length behind, a n d then head a n d head,
I t ’s the do or die test of the Thorobred;
For this Sport o’ Kings pays o ff on the best,
A n d the glue work’s the place fo r a ll the rest!
i
Now Western offers this same Sport o’ Kings,
W ith its thrills, actions, a n d a ll those things;
v
In a new autom atic that seven can p lay .
A press of the lever sends the horses away;
Two to thirty are the stakes to be won,
By the player’s horse that wins the run
To the exciting finish, with the same “head and head, ”
The name of the game?
Why i t ’s Thorobred!
% The transition of the automatic business demands superior operating equip
ment. The larger investments in coin operated machines require the better
types of locations . . . locations where big money is spent. With the afore
mentioned as paramount, Western engineers spent many months of intensive
and extensive research, devising, inventing and proving new mechanical
principles. The result of this untiring and concentrated effort is THOROBRED,
the greatest automatic payout machine ever presented to the trade.
Seven players may play THOROBRED every race . . . a horse for every player
. . . seven horses run regardless of the number of coins inserted in the multiple,
visible, slug-proof chutes . . . a press of the lever . . . the mutuel odds (two to
thirty) change . . . and the horses are off on an exciting run . . . as in a real
horse race, you can't tell the winner until the finish . . . an indirect light on the
mutuel indicator shows the winner and the odds automatically paid out.
THOROBRED is available in two beautiful finishes . . . the Pearl Gray Model
and the Matched Walnut Model. Brilliant Chrome and Black Stripings emphasize
the ultra modernistic design of both cabinets which are 43 / x i ' i*1 height,
in width and 18" in depth. The background scenery is typical of a race track
grandstand and clubhouse.
Indirect lighting, diffused from the "start" and
"finish" lines, produce a very striking effect on the chromium track and colored
metal horses.
THOROBRED is so outstandingly attractive, it readily blends with the furnishings
of the most exclusive locations.
