Toledo Licenses
Skill Games
Toledo operators are purchasing
licenses for their machines under an
ordinance passed early last month by
the city council. By a vote of 7 to 2
the council passed the measure and
fixed the license fee at $10. A proposal

to boost the fee from $10 to $50 was
voted down 8 to 1.
The ordinance provides that all
machines be approved by the police
department and a license be obtained
from the city treasurer. Devices that
extend the lure of any reward cannot
be licensed, and the penalty for vio
lation provides a maximum jail sen
tence of 30 days and a fine of not
more than $50.
New Organization by
New York Distributors
Under the name of the Metropol
itan Distributors, Inc., coin machine
distributors in New York City have
banded together with the intention of
controlling the distribution of coin
operated devices in that territory and
also to concentrate the power of the
industry in one group.
A t the first meeting of the organiz
ation, held on Wednesday, July 8, the
following officers were elected: John
A. Fitzgibbons, of Fitzgibbons Distri
butors, president; Babe Kaufman, of
Babe Kaufman, Inc., vice-president;
Dave Robbim of D. Robbins & Com
pany, secretary; and W illiam Blatt,
of the Supreme Vending Company,
treasurer.

It was a two-fold celebration. Not
alone for the opening of a gorgeous

Keeney now maintains their New

the sole direction of Miss Kaufman
herself.
Many prominent people in the coin

well attended.
Keeney’s new bowling game Bow-
lette was exhibited and was received
with immense favor. A number of
orders were booked and comment was
highly favorable to the game and its
construction and unusual mechanism.
Babe Kaufman has been the Keeney
distributor in the East for a long
time. She now represents Bowlette
for three States, New York, New
Jersey and Connecticut.
