for the association. Members also
voted to assess each member $5 per
month.
In his inaugural address President
Mandell declared, among other things,
that absolute co-operation with the
police department was essential. He
also said that he believed that through
the association operators and distribu
tors could gain a more complete
understanding of the business prob
lems facing the industry locally.
At the next meeting it is expected
that by-laws will be drawn up and
that committees will be appointed to
launch the various activities planned.

Mr. Louis J. Costa of New Jersey wrote this advertisement. It
came to us in the form of a letter. He wrote us in such flattering
terms that we hesitate to publish it. However, Mr. Costa is a
scale operator of many years experience and what he says should
prove of interest and value to every scale operator in the busi
ness :
.
46/ have had LoBoy scales on location, same
outdoors , some indoors, for about 3 years.
They are accurate, easy to handle, good-
looking, and maintain their original beauti
ful finish. They are doubtless the best scale
value in the world! I cannot recommend
them too highly in every way, shape, or form.*)*)
The Loboy is completely assembled, fitted, and adjusted by spe
cialized scale craftsmen. It is triple-coated with genuine non
scratching porcelain enamel. Column and base are solid cast
iron. Comes in blue, green, and white. Stands 44 inches high
and takes only 2 square feet of floor space. The design is modern
— attractive— appealing. The mechanism is simple— efficient—
perfect! Unquestionably, the LoBoy is America’s best scale
value!
And this is the best time of the year to put out scales. With
Spring here, and Summer coming on— and larger collections—
more and more operators every day are ordering out Loboy
scales. They are making sure of steady, continuous profits this
year and for many years to come!
Order your sample LoBoy today. Let it prove— right on your
r0ute— why it is America’s Best Scale Value!
