“Pinch H itter” New
Pamco Table
A new 1 or 5 ball payout table is
announced by Pacific Amusement
Mfg. Co. It depicts a baseball game
—ninth inning— two men gone—bases
loaded— score “1” to “0” in favor of
visiting team— with the player “pinch
hitting” for a payout. Pamco’s orig
inal odds commutator is cleverly tied
in with changing values on all payout
pockets, ranging from a dime to a
dollar-and-a-half. The Odds Commu
tator spins when a coin is inserted.
If the player wishes to improve his
odds, he may direct the ball over a
skill-lane and contact switch located
at the top center of the board, to
again spin the odds-changing device.
There’s another lane farther down on
the board, which spins the odds-chang-
er again, if by chance a ball should
roll over the switch. All in all, the
player’s odds may change three times
on a single shot. In the 5 ball model,
even more.
Noteworthy among the features in
cluded in “Pinch Hitter,” is a series
°f recoil bumper springs and wings,
so designed and tempered, that the
action obtained is especially full of
suspense. The foregoing features, all
original Pacific ideas, have brought
an unusual amount of favorable oper
ator and jobber comment, according
to Fred McClellan, president of
‘Pamco” interests. In heavy produc
tion now, Pamco “Pinch Hitter” is
said to be meeting with a rush for
re-orders from o p e ra to rs w ho’ve
Placed their sample “Pinch Hitter”

“A Standout” Dailey
Says of Palooka
Harold W. Dailey, president South
Coast Amusement Co., Houston, Tex.,
Mentions a marked preference for
Pamco Palooka”, new bowl-type pay
table by Pacific Amusement Mfg. Co.,
by operators in the Texas market.
The “Palooka” machine is equipped
Wlth six visible coin chutes, which
correspond to odds value appearing
°n “Palooka’s” lite-up commutator
board. Odds change automatically on
this one-shot machine when the ball
ls lifted into playing position. Then
coin chutes not engaged become
locked. Meanwhile, the player pro-
Pells the ball around “Palooka’s”
scoredrome, and it lodges in one of
S1x sets of payout holes.”

Leaves Electricity
For Music
Don Coney, well known Detroit coin
machine man, recently left, at least
temporarily, the post of sales man
ager of the Electrical Products Com
pany in that city, to take up similar
duties with the Seeburg division of
the Angott Coin Machine Exchange
Company, also in Detroit.
“This company attracted my atten
tion quite a while ago’ as they have
always been an extremely large user
of Electropaks, when they did busi
ness as the American Automatic Sales
Co. Rapid expansion, and the Mich
igan State franchise for Seeburg
called for new quarters, and when
Mr. Angott— ‘Mike,’ as he is known
to his friends— gave me an opportu
nity to join his organization, I con
sidered it a real compliment and a
rare opportunity,” states Mr. Coney.
