Code Association Will Conduct
1935 Exposition
H E 1935 Coin Machine Exposi
tion and Convention will be
conducted under the auspices of
the National Association of Coin
Operated
Machine
Manufacturers.
This was the decision reached Tues
day evening, June 19th, by a large
and representative group of manufac
turers who met at Hotel Sherman to
discuss this question.

W ith this decision, the Coin M a
chine Manufacturers’ Association of
America, formed in 1931 for the sole
purpose of conducting the annual ex
position of the industry, fades from
the picture in order that the new
manufacturers’ organization may in
clude the annual show among its
ever-broadening scope of activity.
Practically all manufacturers at the
meeting were members of both asso
ciations so that it was merely neces
sary for them to vote upon the ques
tion. There were no dissenting votes.
The motion, as made by D. Gottlieb
and amended by Lee S. Jones, was as
follows: That the next annual exposi
tion be conducted under the auspices
of the National Association of Coin
Operated Machine Manufacturers and
that an advisory committee be ap
pointed by the chair to arrange for
the exposition.
This committee, as appointed by
Mr. O. D. Jennings who presided over
the meeting, is composed of five
manufacturers, each representing a
different division of the industry.
They are: D. W . Donahue, Mills
Novelty Company, representing the
vender division; Claude L. Kirk, E x
hibit Supply Company, representing
Digger type machines; Marshall See
burg, J. P. Seeburg Corporation,
representing the music machine divi
sion; W . E. Bolen, Northwestern
Corporation, representing merchandise
vending machines and service type
machines, and W alter Tratsch, A.B.T.
Manufacturing Company, representing
the amusement or skill machine
division.
The above committee had previous
ly been appointed by the chairman
to represent the five divisions of the
industry in all association projects.
Mr. Jennings, as presiding officer,
and many other manufacturers took
the floor to deliver glowing tributes
to J. O. Huber, who as secretary of
the C.M.M.A., managed the three
most successful expositions ever held
by the coin machine industry. Lee S.
Jones, president of the C.M.M.A.also
was given an ovation for his assist
ance to Mr. Huber in arranging the
record-breaking expositions in 1932,
1933 and 1934. Several manufacturers
voiced their demands that these two
men be placed in command of the
1935 exposition, to be assisted by the
above committee.
