Joe Huber Holds
Grand Opening
Several hundred friends of Joe
Huber helped celebrate the grand
opening of the Huber Coin Machine
Sales Company on Saturday, March
24th. I f his friends were all there
then just about every operator, dis
tributor and manufacturer in the
Chicago area was there, for Joe
is everybody’s friend.
Everybody
knows Joe.
So when Joe threw a
Party that meant plenty of fun and
plenty of beer for all comers. Plenty
of beer is right— six barrels, Joe says.
The open house lasted all day and
]nto the wee hours.
From out of
town, the visitors included S. S. Stan
ley of Memphis, H. C. Lemke of De
troit, Mr. Carney of Florida and
others.
New Jersey Association
Gets Results
Under the leadership of President
D. M. Steinberg and Secretary Jack
Silverman, the Automatic Merchan
disers’ Association of New Jersey
was able to make recommendations
Which protect the interest of pin
game operators when an ordinance
affecting them was drawn up in
Newark recently.
The ordinance calls for a $3 license
fee to govern and control bagatelle
and all games of skill.
It permits
111
operators to give awards for high
score on the basis of contests con
ducted over any specified period of
time. The licenses must be affixed to
each machine and transferred to any
later machine which replaces the
the first game so licensed.
