final h e a rin g . A t th e recent m a n u fa c tu re rs m e e tin g th e com m ittee
w h ic h has visited W a s h in g to n reported t h a t the code n o w conform s
in general w ith other codes alre a d y approved.
The esta b lish m e n t o f th is code w ill m a r k th e greatest achieve
m e n t in th e h is to ry o f the. coin m ach in e in d u s try . I t w ill a m o u n t
to official recogn ition o f o u r in d u s try as an in d e p e n de n t in d u s try
a n d place it on a fo o tin g w ith other large, ind ustrie s. I t w ill create
a n au th o rize d p la n fo r p o lic in g th e in d u s try an d fo r e n fo rc in g p r in
ciples o f business w h ic h are best fo r th e in d u s try as a whole. I t
w ill k n it togeth e r m ore firm ly th a n w as possible before, th e m a n u
fa c tu re rs them selves. I t w ill b r in g agreem ent on policies w h ic h
w ill benefit d is trib u to rs a n d operators. I t w ill e lim in a te m a n y
problem s w h ic h h ave re tard ed real progress b y th e in d u s try .
