Keeney & Sons Working
Night and Day
Jack Keeney reports that the tremendous
demand for the new “ Magic-Clock” is forc
ing them to work their plant on a night
and day shift.
“ Ordinarily at this time of the year the
demand for coin-operated games is at
its lowest ebb,” says Mr. Keeney. “ How
ever, it is apparent that there is always a
demand regardless of the season for a- prod
uct which is absolutely new and original
and the “ Magic Clock” seems to fit these
specifications.
“ We have orders for over ten thousand
Magic Clocks booked in advance fffom our
State distributors and our problem at this
time is merely one of production.
“ Judging from the reception which this
new item is receiving, I am confident that
the majority of manufacturers in this line
of industry are going to enjoy another good
fall and winter season of business. This
will be especially true for those manufac
turers who bring out new ideas that arte not
merely replicas and adaptations of items of
which the public is already tired.

Still in Business
“ Herb” Besser of the Besser Novelty
Company reports that false rumors have
been circulated to the affect that he had
sold out his business in St. Louis. He says
that he did sell a number of old machines
that were on location, but that he is gouig
stronger than ever with his jobbing activi
ties.

“ I believe that as a whole the coin ma
chine industry faces a better season than
the average industry can look forward to.
This is largely due to the untiring efforts
of the manufacturers to bring out new
products which will capture the public’s
fancy and to the untiring efforts of the job
bers and operators who still retain their
active interest in promoting the use of coin
operated machines in new and untried lo
