Enthusiasm Prevails in
Coin-Machine Ranks
Practically every field of industry greets the Fall season with
fresh hopes and renewed energy. None will welcome it with more
genuine enthusiasm than the coin-machine industry. No other line
of business is more alert to opportunities or better prepared to take
advantage of them.
September brings the vacation season to a close. There is a
new spirit in the. air. Cooler days put new energy to work. Schools
open their doors and welcome back millions of children to their
work. Retail merchants have stocked their shelves with new Fall
merchandise. The whole world is back home, back on the job and
the wheels of industry are speeded up over night.
In our industry, everything is in readiness for the greatest
season of our history. Manufacturers are ready with new machines
and better machines, designed for the Fall season and for the
thousands of new locations now available. Operators are making
their last rounds of the Summer spots, and securing locations for
the coming season. New machines are being unpacked and speeded
to waiting locations. Vending and amusement machines which have
faithfully served their time, are relegated to the junk heaps with
out ceremony. Operators know from experience that dilapidated
vending machines do not invite customers, and that machines with
mechanical faults are a serious handicap from the standpoint of
both earning and service. Amusement machines that are behind the
times are stored away until such time as they will again be popular,
and the newest games on the market take their places.
A new season is here. Make the most of it.
