WHAT THE TRADE PAPER DOES
The head of one of our largest
advertising agencies said in a talk to
a business men’s gathering that the
cheapest and most effective way to
stimulate trade is to advertise in the
trade press.
“ I know of no other method,” he
said, “ quickly productive of results.
Our advertising agency is putting
more advertising-in the trade papers,
because we find they perform a serv
ice that the newspapers and maga
zines do not cover.
“ Where the advertiser has some
thing that is needed by a certain class
of business, there is no question that
the trade press has become the most
direct and cheapest form of selling.”

“ T e n -B a ll” D e v ic e
The Alamo Novelty Company of San
Antonio gives the following description of
the new amusement device they are in
troducing to the trade:
W e are now offering coin machine oper
ators the most sensational coin-operated
machine ever placed on the market, known
© In te rn a tio n a l A r c a d e M u s e u m
as “ T E N -B A L L ” The “ T E N -B A L L ma
chine is similar in appearance to a pool
table, though considerably smaller.
The
top of the table measures approximately
23 x 42 inches. It has ten pockets which
the balls fall through, each pocket being
numbered. The game is played with ten
balls and the cue ball, the players shooting
the balls with a cue similar to a pool or
billiard cue. A score rack is provided on
each side of the table for the purpose of
keeping score.
The player making the
lowest score loses the game. “ T E N -B A L L ”
is the most fascinating game ever offered
the public and experience proves that it
does not “ burn out” as is the case with
most coin-operated machines.
“ T E N -B A L L ” is a legal machine in
every respect. Do not confuse it with a
pool table because of the fact that we refer
to a pool table above, we do this merely
to give you an idea of what the “ T E N -
B A L L ” machine is.
“ T E N -B A L L ” is well constructed and
will last for years with average care. The
mechanism is simple and yet thorough to
the extent that it will operate without any
trouble. Our years of experience in the
coin-operated machine
business stands
back of “ T E N -B A L L .”
W e knew just
what the operator required and “ T E N -
B A L L ” is so constructed that it is as per
fect as any machine ever placed on the
market, and entirely new in every respect.
