We now offer the greatest selection
of models that we ever offered, and a
large range of prices.
You have always wanted a fine
scale, a scale that you could really be
proud to have. A scale that would be
good, not for six months or a year,
but a scale that would be good for
twenty-five years— in fact, as long as
you wanted to keep it.
Perhaps you have made up your
mind that such a scale was not to be
had.
Perhaps you thought you
couldn’t afford it. You can, today—
right now! That fine scale is within
your grasp. Today you can buy a
Watling No-Spring Scale, the model
you want, and the price is less than a
great many cheap spring scales. Our
easy payment plan makes the public
buy the scale for you.
Now you can choose from the
greatest selection of models ever of
fered by any scale manufacturer. Our
famous No-Spring Scale comes in five
models, and the Watling Scale is
fine scale that will stay fine. Accord
ing to records, our scales outlast any
scales ever built.
We are offering you price, delivery
and quality. A poor article is expen
sive at any price. Price is what you
pay for an article. Value is what the
article is really worth, and, believe
me, you get value when you buy W at
ling No-Spring Scales.

Glorifying the
American Penny
The British Penny has us beat when it conies to value, but even at that the
American Penny has decidedly come into its own with the advent of penny
vending and amusement devices of all kinds in the automatic field. One would
scarcely think that the income from penny machines would amount to very
much, but just ask the operators who own them. Penny machines have estab
lished themselves as basic machines in the vending machine industry, are not
bothered so much with the slug evil, and are generally considered the best
type o f machines for beginners to use in entering the operating business.
Many experienced operators find the penny machines so profitable that they
have hundreds of them on locations, and realize a comfortable income from
them.
The wide variety of the penny machines is at once
an attractive incentive to operate penny devices. Penny
merchandise venders can be had to vend anything al
most from ball gum to marbles. The penny peanut,
ball and stick gum venders are the mainstays, while
penny scales are so well known to the public and are
in a class by themselves. Penny amusement devices
are increasing rapidly in numbers all the time and in
clude a wide variety of targets, skill games, fortune ma
chines and what not. Penny arcades are a specialized
application o f the penny machine business. Manufac
turers are turning out penny devices that are beautiful
in appearance, and the quality built into them is a power
in drawing the patronage of the public.
THE LEADING PENNY MACHINES OF ALL KINDS ARE ADVER
TISED IN AUTOMATIC AGE.
MANUFACTURERS WHO BUILD
QUALITY INTO THEIR MACHINES KEEP THEM BEFORE THE OPER
ATORS IN THE PAGES OF THIS BOOK. THE PENNY MACHINE
BUSINESS IS WORTH LOOKING INTO.
